Song: Like The Rain Tab
Like the Rain
written by Clint Black and Hayden Nicholas
performed by Clint Black on his Greatest Hits album
INTRO: E E E A (repeat 2X)
E A E
I never liked the rain until I walked through it with you
E A E
Every thunder cloud that came was one more I might not get through
E A E
But on the darkest day there's always light, and now I see it too
E A E
But I never liked the rain until I walked through it with you
E A E
I hear it falling in the night and filling up my mind
E A E
All the heaven's rivers come to light; I see it all unwind
E A E
I hear it talking through the trees and on the window pane
E A D
When I hear it I just can't believe I never liked the rain
E A D
Like the rain, I have fallen for you and I know just why you
E A D
Like the rain, always calling for you, I'm falling for you now
E E E A D
Just like the rain.
E A E
When the cloud is rolling over, thunder striking me
E A E
It's as bright as lightning and I wonder why I couldn't see
E A E
That it's always good and when the flood is gone we still remain
E A D
Guess I've known all along I just belong here with you, falling
E A D
Like the rain, I have fallen for you, and I know just why you
E A D
Like the rain, always calling for you, I'm falling for you now
D A D
Just like the rain I have fallen for you, I'm falling for you now
E
Just like the rain.
D
And when the night falls on our better days
A
And we're looking to the sky
D E
For the winds that take us high above the plains
D A
I know that we'll find better ways to look into the eye
D
Of the storms that will be calling
Forever will be falling
E A D
Like the rain, I have fallen for you, and I know just why you
E A D
Like the rain, always calling for you, I'm falling for you now just
(repeat 3X)
E D D A
Like the rain (repeat 6X on CD)
OUTRO: E E E A E
For the Intro, the 1st Verse, and the Ending I like to do a simple
arpeggio picking pattern on the four low strings. It's not exactly
the same, but it works.
Any corrections are welcome, but I'm not sure how to go about fixing
them in the archives. If anyone can clue me in &/or fix the errors
I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
